Paul Bisaccia graduated summa cum laude from the Hartt School at the University of Hartford where he ranked first in his class. His own teacher is the legendary Brazilian pianist Luiz de Moura Castro. Bisaccia pursued a 5 year program with a double emphasis on piano performance and music education. His love of both teaching and performing is apparent in his PBS television shows where he plays and talks about the music he loves.
Bisaccia is a winner of the Hartt School, University of Hartford Alumnus of the Year award. He has given master classes and taught at Colby College in Maine and has lectured at Trinity College in Hartford. He is currently a piano instructor at Trinity College as well. He has served on the juries of several music competitions including UConn, the University of Hartford, and the international Simone Belsky Piano Competition. A versatile and popular recording artist, Bisaccia currently has 16 CD’s available with recordings ranging from the classics of Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy and Liszt, to recordings of music by George Gershwin, Scott Joplin, and Billy Joel. He has performed concerts on four continents.
